About Us

CleanRite Cleaning Services, Inc. has been a trusted name in professional cleaning across St. Joseph, Marshall, and Starke counties since 2000. Based in Walkerton, Indiana, the company was founded by Dawn M. Gorby-Verhaeghe, whose passion for cleanliness and community care began long before CleanRite was born.

After graduating from John Glenn High School, Dawn pursued her education with determination, earning an Associate’s Degree from Southwestern Michigan College and a Management Degree from Ivy Tech College in 1991. She later completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Ferris State University in 1996. Throughout college, Dawn waitressed and cleaned homes, balancing work around her school schedule—a testament to her work ethic and commitment.

Dawn’s appreciation for a clean home was instilled early on. Growing up, her family prioritized weekly cleanings and annual spring cleaning traditions. That foundation inspired her to launch CleanRite from her home, allowing her to stay close to her children while helping others enjoy the comfort of a clean space.

Today, CleanRite has grown to a team of 18 dynamic employees, offering a wide range of services including:

•Post-construction clean-up

CleanRite is currently expanding and welcoming new residential and commercial accounts, with first-time cleaning packages available to help new clients start fresh. Customer feedback on Facebook continues to highlight the team’s dedication to excellence and personalized service.

Beyond CleanRite, Dawn and her husband Jason Verhaeghe also own Verhaeghe Farms & Roadside Cottage, a beloved local destination offering homemade baked goods like cinnamon rolls, banana nut bread, zucchini bread, biscuits, lemon blueberry bread, strawberry cheesecake cinnamon rolls, no-bake cookies, homemade Oreos, double peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and sandwich bread. Their farm also raises cattle, pigs, and sheep, supporting local 4H kids.

Together, Dawn and Jason are proud parents of four children and three grandchildren, and their businesses reflect the values they live by: hard work, family, and service to others.

Giving back is at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to organize our Twelve Days of Giving campaign, where each employee receives $100–$200 to donate to the nonprofit of their choice, and to donate our time and talents by offering free cleans to those in need.

What do I do if I am not feeling well and have services scheduled?

Feeling under the weather or in any case sick? We kindly ask that you contact us to reschedule. We partner with lots of retirement homes and families/customers that are at risk as they are undergoing cancer treatment and or some other form of illness and cannot afford any additional risk to their immune system. We pride ourselves on making sure we do not cause our customers to be at risk of any medical illness or event. We are thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter.
